Verbs with prepositions

When two verbs has an infinitive following, it can have nothing between them (not many verbs like this), à or de. If you can't find your verb, assume that 'de' is in between them.
Note that à + quelqu'un means that you use the indirect pronouns lui, leur etc. or à Marie etc.
Bear in mind that without these prepositions, the verb may mean something different.
There are 'motion' verbs like aller, chercher, monter, entrer, sortir etc. that you can use 'pour' to stress a purpose (pour can mean 'in order to').
