Instructions
This is a type of text editor specifically for making tags for YouTube videos. Type in your tags separated by commas e.g.

free, program, software, name of program, download, video

and you will see at the bottom of the window, the total characters (unicode code points) that have been typed. It also shows you the number of tags used.
This information can be used so you can judge if you have used too many tags or characters.
It is difficult to recommend how many characters to use or tags as YouTube may change the maximum amount so I want to keep this program generic so it still can be used regardless of the changes. It seems to be about 50 tags maximum but I cannot find out their restrictions.
You can copy everything in one button press so you can paste your tags in the tag section of the video easily. You can also load and save text files (they are stored as text in UTF-8 format so foreign letters are preserved).
You can also click on a button to organize your tags in alphabetical order (regardless of case) which also cleans them up.

Download YouTubeTags V1.0 - works on any computer (PC or Apple Mac) under any operating system (like Linux or Windows)

Requires Java SE 7 or higher on your system to run
Won't run? Download the JRE from here or go to java.com

To run it, just double-click it. If it doesn't work, then update your Java. Download the Java JRE (Java Runtime Environment or JDK which will also work) which can be downloaded here or go to java.com.
When you run it, it will create a file called YoutubeTagsSettings.dat. For Windows, you could put the program in a separate place, then make a link to it on your desktop. Just right-click YoutubeTags.jar, then select "create shortcut" then cut and paste that shortcut to your desktop.
